X Band Frequency Scan Slotted Array Antenna for Low Altitude Security Radar
This product is a professional Array Antenna featuring a slotted waveguide frequency scan design for security radar applications. The antenna operates at 10.52GHz with a bandwidth of 250MHz. It consists of separate receive and transmit arrays, with the receive array positioned above the transmit array in horizontal alignment. As a Slotted Waveguide Array, it offers wide angle fan shaped coverage with electronic beam scanning. The receive array has 48 line arrays and the transmit array has 16 line arrays. The antenna provides very good gain for both transmit and receive paths. Electronic scanning means there are no mechanical moving parts.
This frequency scan array delivers solid electrical performance at X band. The Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) is rated at 1.5, showing good impedance matching. The azimuth beam coverage is 120 degrees or wider, which allows a single antenna to cover a large fan shaped area. This reduces the number of stations needed and lowers deployment costs. The receive array gain is very high, and the transmit array gain is also very good. The elevation beamwidth is wide enough for proper coverage. The side lobe levels are low, which helps reject ground clutter and reduces false alarms in complex terrain.
One clear strength of this Slotted Waveguide Array is its electronic frequency scanning capability. It is widely used for low altitude security surveillance radar, security monitoring, and airport surface surveillance radar. The 48 receive and 16 transmit element configuration provides a good balance between long range detection and high sensitivity reception. The electronic scan allows rapid beam steering without mechanical wear, resulting in low failure rate and simple maintenance. The layered transmit receive layout with center alignment gives good isolation and stable radar detection performance.
In practical use, this Array Antenna handles security and surveillance tasks very well. For long narrow corridor security applications such as borders, coastlines, or pipelines, the wide angle coverage is ideal. For low altitude airspace surveillance, the electronic scan provides fast response to fast moving targets. The low side lobe design helps maintain detection accuracy even in complex terrain. It stands as a solid example of a well designed frequency scan slotted array for X band security radar applications.
